Terms & Conditions
We will only accept cats for boarding if they are vaccinated against feline enteritis and cat flu. We ask that up to date vaccination records are brought with you when you bring your cat on their first day to be kept with us for the duration of their stay.
Please ensure that your cat is vaccinated in good time. The vaccination course must be completed at least 14 days prior to the start of their stay. If it is your cat’s first vaccination or your annual vaccination programme has lapsed, your cat may need 2 vaccinations 3 weeks apart. This means a time frame of almost 5 weeks or more from the first vaccination before we can accept your cat.
Flea and Worm Treatment
All cats must be treated against worms and fleas prior to arrival. If any cat is found to have fleas they will be treated and the owners charged accordingly upon collection.
Providing we have your consent, we are happy to administer any medication, including injections, free of charge. You must provide enough medication to last for the duration of your cats stay.
Only cats from the same household can share a pen. Should the need arise Crofton Cattery reserve the right to separate any cats if deemed necessary for their own safety.
We may inspect your cat(s) upon arrival for signs of good health. Any cat showing signs of ill health will not be allowed to stay.
During your cat(s) stay should it show any signs or symptoms of ill health we will arrange for it to be assessed by our registered vet or, if you have consented, your own vet. Any treatment will be given as deemed necessary. In all cases we will contact you on the emergency number you have provided to keep you informed.
In the interests of hygiene and for your cat(s) own wellbeing we can only accommodate cats over the age of 6 months that have been neutered or spayed.
Please ensure that you always transport your cat(s) to and from Crofton Cattery in a suitable pet carrier. We ask that this is kept with your cat(s) for use in emergency situations.
All fees are charged on a ‘per day’ basis, including day of arrival and day of departure. This is to allow us enough time to deep clean the pen and equipment before a new guest arrives.
To confirm your booking, we ask for a £30.00 deposit within 5 days from the date of booking. This will be deducted from your balance and the remainder will be payable at the beginning of your cats stay.
We will aim to feed your cat(s) their normal diet. We can provide most types of premium on the shelf foods and will endeavour to find your cat(s) usual food.
If your cat(s) are on a special diet or a diet prescribed by your vet, you will be required to bring your cat(s) food with you and provide enough food for the duration of their stay.
For safety reasons all collars will be removed on your cat(s) arrival. These will be stored safely and returned when you collect your cat(s).
We will groom your cat(s) unless you specifically tell us otherwise. You are welcome to bring your own comb/brush if you wish, alternatively we can use one of our own sterilised ones.
All equipment including bedding, toys, scratch posts etc will be provided by Crofton Cattery for the duration of your cat(s) stay. You are most welcome to bring a familiar toy, blanket etc if you feel it will help your cat(s) to settle in.
Cancellations and Changes
Any cancellations or changes must be made a minimum of 14 days before boarding. Cancellations of less than this may be charged at the full rate for the period booked, unless a short notice replacement booking is received.
In the unlikely event that your cat(s) are not collected within 7 days of the agreed collection date and if no communication has been received from the owner or the owner’s emergency contact, Crofton Cattery reserve the right to take the cat(s) to a local rehoming centre.
If you will not be collecting your cat(s) and have arranged for someone else to do this on your behalf, please let us know in advance.
Whilst all care and attention will be taken, all cats left at Crofton Cattery are left entirely at their owner’s risk, Crofton Cattery cannot be held liable for illness, injury or death of any animal in their care.
